| 分類に関するメモ：Hind & Saunders (2013) は，北海道忍路産のサンプルをC. caespitosaとして報告しました。Calderon et al. (2021) は，サビモドキ（C. melobesioides）とC. caespitosaをC. berteroiの異名（シノニム）としました。千葉県レッドデータブック植物・菌類編 2023年改訂版は，C. berteroiの和名を「サビモドキ」としました。
Schipper et al. (2023) による遺伝子解析において，C. berteroiは，2つのクレードに分かれることが示唆されています。Schipper et al. (2023) は，C. chilensisを対象とした分類学的研究のため，C. berteroiについては触れていませんが，C. berteroiとその異名とされている種について見直す必要があると考えられます。 著者は，千葉県レッドデータブックにサビモドキを掲載するに当たり，国際塩基配列データベースで公開されているサビモドキの遺伝子配列を調べました。サビモドキの配列は，rbcL遺伝子（JN701477, 千葉県産）とpsbA遺伝子（LC746963, LC746964, 広島県産）があり，C. berteroiとはrbcL遺伝子が6-10 bp (0.5-0.8%)，psbA遺伝子が2-5 bp (0.2-0.6%)の差異でした。配列の差異が小さいので，C. berteroiとみなしても良いかもしれませんが，独立した種として扱われているC. chamberlainiae, C. yendoiとC. berteroiとの差異は，rbcL遺伝子が8-16 bp (0.6-1.2%)，psbA遺伝子が6-9 bp (0.7-1.1%)なので，遺伝子配列データだけから判断するとサビモドキを独立した種として扱う案もありそうです。Calderon et al. (2021) は，DNA-based species delimitation methods (DNAの塩基配列に基く種の境界設定方法）を用いて，C. berteroiの種の境界を判断しましたが，cox1遺伝子やpsbA遺伝子を用いた解析では，C. berteroiが2, 3種に分かれる結果も示されており，C. berteroiの種の境界については，検討の余地があると考えられます。 |
