不等毛植物門（Phylum Heterokontophyta），褐藻綱（Class Phaeophyceae），アミジグサ亜綱（Subclass Dictyotophycidae），アミジグサ目（Order Dictyotales），アミジグサ科（Family Dictyotaceae），シマオウギ連（Tribe Zonarieae），ジガミグサ属（Genus Stypopodium）

Lectotype locality: Boeka Bay, reef, Roti, Indonesia

Lectotype specimen: L 937.253.401 (Naturalis Biodiversity Center, Leiden, Netherlands)

分類に関するメモ：Kitayama (2022) は小笠原諸島父島からジガミグサ属（Stypopodium）の1種を報告しましたが，形態的にS. flabelliformeと近いものの，同定は至らなかったとして，"S. cf. flabelliforme"として報告しました。父島産のサンプルがS. flabelliformeかどうか検討が俟たれています。
