分類に関するメモ：Woelkerling (1971)は，Acrochaetium moniliformeが，Audouinella microscopica（現 Ac. microscopicum）と同種の可能性があるとしており，吉田（1998），Hwang & Kim (2011) などはAc. moniliformeをAu. microscopicaの異名同種（シノニム）としています。Stegenga & Mulder (1979), Stegenga (1985) は，Ac. moniliformeは，Au. microscopicaとは別種であると述べています。本サイトでは，Stegenga (1985), Garbary (1987), Algaebaseに従い，Ac. moniliformeを独立の種として掲載しました。
