分類に関するメモ：Itono (1972) は，Ceramium marshallenseを鹿児島県佐多岬近くの枇榔島から報告しました。Itono (1977) は，佐多岬産C. marshallenseについて，同定が不確実と指摘しています。Ceramium marshallenseは以後，日本での報告がありませんでしたが，Titlyanov et al. (2019, 2024) は，熊本県天草と与那国島でC. marshallenseを報告しました。Itono (1972)が報告したC. marshallenseとTitlyanov et al. (2019, 2024) が報告したC. marshallenseが同じものかどうか検討が必要です。
