分類に関するメモ：ハイイロイシモはモカサ属（Pneophyllum）に所属していましたが，Caragnano et al. (2018) はDawsoniolithon属を設立し，ハイイロイシモをモカサ属からDawsoniolithon属に移しました。馬場・加藤（2023）は，Dawsoniolithon属の和名を「ハイイロイシモ属」としました。
