分類に関するメモ：ヒメフクロツナギの学名には"Erythrocolon podagricum J.Agardh in Grunow 1874"，"Erythrocolon podagricum (Harvey) J.Agardh 1896"，"Erythrocolon podagricum (Harvey ex J.Agardh) J.Agardh ex Kylin 1931"などが知られ，混乱がみられます。Grunow (1874)においてErythrocolon属が正式発表とみなすことが出来るかが争点で，Grunow (1874)は，Chylocladia属の下に"Sectio (?) Erythrocolon"としており，”？”が付けられているものの，属より下の階級としているようにみえます。しかし，Grunow (1874)は，その下に"Er. podagricum (Harv.) J.Ag."とも載せており，Erythroclonを属として扱っているようにもみえます。著者としては，解釈の分かれるGrunow (1874)ではなく，Agardh (1896)を推したいところでしたが，AlgaeBaseのGuiry博士の判断に従い，"Erythrocolon podagricum J.Agardh in Grunow 1874"を採用しました。
