Basionym

Type locality: Cabeza Ballena, Baja California Sur, México

Type specimen: AHFH in UC 48797 (University of California, Berkeley)

分類に関するメモ：Ceramium taylonii は，ハイイギス（Gayliella flaccida）の異名同種（シノニム）とされてきましたが，Cho et al. (2008) は，C. taylonii を独立の種として再評価し，イギス属（Ceramium）からGayliella属に移しました。
