分類に関するメモ：カナリアイシモは，イシモ属（Lithothamnion）の1種として記載されました。Athanasiadis & Ballantine (2014)は，エダウチイシモ属（Melyvonnea）を設立し，カナリアイシモをイシモ属からエダウチイシモ属へ移しました。
