分類に関するメモ：Hara & Chihara (1974) の中でTrichogloea subnudaとして掲載され，日本新産種とされました。Hara & Chihara (1974) での記録は，色素体の電顕写真のみで外形や標本等の情報はありません。吉田（1998）は，アケボノモズク（T. requienii）との差異について「あまり明確ではない」と述べています。
