サヨリの群れです。

生鮮市場で購入したものです。腹膜が黒く，「外見はきれいだが腹黒い」という例えに使われることもあるそうです。著者は，かつて千葉県銚子に夜間採集に出かけたとき，水面を照らすライトに引かれてやってきた本種をバケツですくって持ち帰ったことがあります。
