Type locality: 北海道後志張碓（現小樽市張碓町）
Lectotype specimen: TI herb. Yendo（東京大学植物標本庫）＊SAP（北海道大学大学院理学研究院植物標本庫）に永久貸与。＊Yoshida (1991) は，"Lectotype"としており，本サイトでは，Yoshida (1991)に従いましたが，Cho et al. (2002) は，"Holotype: No. 67 in SAP"としています。いずれも産地を"Hariusu"としているのでタイプ産地は張碓と考えられますが，タイプ指定された標本の確認が必要と考えられます。

分類に関するメモ：イギスは，Ceramium属の1種として記載されました。Barros-Barreto et al. (2023) は，イギスをCeramium属からエゴノリ属（Campylaephora）に移しました。

イギス（Campylaephora kondoi）は，Ceramium属の1種として記載されました。Barros-Barreto et al. (2023) は，イギスをCeramium属からエゴノリ属（Campylaephora）に移しました。Ceramium属は多系統群であることが知られており，Barros-Barreto et al. (2023) によって属の分類が整理されました。イギスは，皮層と主軸細胞の間に仮根様細胞を持たないものの，体全体が皮層に覆われるという点で，エゴノリ属の仲間と形態的に似ています。rbcL, cox1遺伝子やLSU rRNAをコードするDNAを用いた系統解析において，イギスは狭義のCeramium属とは系統的に離れており，エゴノリ属と姉妹群の関係となるので，エゴノリ属に移すのは妥当と言えるかもしれません。しかし，イギスは系統解析においてエゴノリ属と姉妹群となるものの，統計的支持率が低く，仮根様細胞を持たないなど，エゴノリ属として良いか疑問が残ります。本サイトでは，Barros-Barreto et al. (2023)に従い，暫定的にイギスをエゴノリ属のメンバーとしましたが，イギスの属の所属については，更なる分類学的検討が必要ではないかと思います。 Ceramium属の和名には「イギス属」が充てられてきました。先述の通りイギスの属の所属については，更なる検討が必要とされているものの，狭義のCeramium属ではないのは明らかです。日本産Ceramium属について，遺伝子解析を含めた分類学的検討は進んでおらず，狭義のCeramium属に所属する種が日本に分布しているかも判断がつかない状況ですが，イギスがエゴノリ属に移されたことから，Ceramium属の和名について検討が必要と考えられます。本サイトでは，日本産Ceramium属の分類が整理されるまで，暫定的に学名を片仮名読みとして「セラミウム属」としました。Ceramiumの読み方として，「ケラミウム」の方が合っているかもしれないのですが，著者の周辺では「セラミウム」と発音することが多いため，「セラミウム属」としています。
